As Big Head Todd and the Monsters embark on their current tour promoting their “New World Arisin” album. I was struck by one thing seeing them live. And that was the vim and vigor this quartet brings to the stage. Having just watched their Red Rocks Live DVD from 2008, one thing I noticed was how incredibly posed and comfortable they are on stage. Not forgetting their sound is identical in person as what you see and hear on today’s media.
On the evening of January 16th, at the Vogue Theatre in Indianapolis, they started the set with a Jimi Hendrix cover, Room Full of Mirrors. From there it only got better. Of course Bittersweet and Broken Hearted Saivor were given to us as well. Finally the night ended with a phenomenal jam with special guest Luther Dickinson. If you get a chance don't miss em this year!
For those of you attending the bands next Red Rocks performance I must say I’m a bit jeolous.
