Backed by a band that included a horn and wind section, Motown legends The Four Tops thrilled fans at the ALL INfestival with a 10-song set that spanned over three decades of hits. Founding member Abdul "Duke" Fakir, now 86-years young, was the consummate showman, laughing and joking with the audience and fellow vocalists Ronnie McNeir, Lawrence Payton Jr., and Alexander Morris. One of my favorite moments of the whole day happened when Fakir’s microphone went out during a chat on stage and McNeir “loaned” him his mic. When it came time to sing again, the wasn’t a mic ready for McNeir. Rather than stopping the show, he just sang into his “air mic” for a while. I just thought that was awesome, and it made me respect these guys even more.
