Dancing With The Stars On Tour

Indianapolis

Photos and Review by Shelby Beckler (@Sapproductions_)

It’s not every day you get to see an Olympian, an actress, and professional dancers all on the same stage together. The 2024 cast of Dancing With The Stars is touring across America, taking their routines to the stage. The tour is a mix of the stars and pro dancers changing throughout the season. Indianapolis’ show featured Olympic medalist Stephen Nedoroscik and actress Chandler Kinney. Dancers were Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Daniella Karagach, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Rylee Arnold, and Ezra Sosa!

This was my first time seeing DWTS live. I grew up watching the show and I remember the feeling of watching the celebrities find their way throughout the season and becoming actual dancers. The pros really are such amazing teachers and performers. Getting to watch the show in person was a different experience than watching the show on my screen.

These dancers put their heart and soul into these routines, and I cannot imagine the energy and stamina it takes to get through the whole performance. And it’s not like it’s just a one-time thing; they do this nearly every night. I was in awe of their body control and movements throughout their performances. Chandler Kinney especially blew me away. It’s not often that the stars join the pros for more than a couple dances, but if I would’ve gone into this blindly, I would not have known she wasn’t a pro. That was her first night of the tour and she absolutely killed it.

Stephen Nedoroscik is not only a great dancer, but a wonderful host as well. His charisma and charm kept the show entertaining and hilarious. It was also such a treat to see him perform the pommel horse in real life. Nedoroscik said he almost didn’t do DWTS because his mom told him he can’t dance. I hate to disagree with his mom, but wow did she have it wrong! His pairing with Rylee Arnold is one of the best on the show. Their chemistry when dancing together is vibrant and fun to watch.

I wasn’t sure how the performance would be. Was it just going to be dancing the entire time? Absolutely not. We got to hear from the dancers on what their favorite parts of the season were, see some fans brought up on stage to try and follow the pros, Gleb Savchenko teach Nedoroscik how to live as a pro dancer, and an inside look at the inclusive Pro Dancer Academy that Ezra was inducted into, where of course he learned NOTHING (wink, wink).

The show itself was gorgeous and I will be thinking about the performance for days. Getting to see such an array of dances from lyrical, to samba, to jazz and so much more… their talents are truly unmatched. If you love watching Dancing With The Stars, grab a ticket and go enjoy the live performance!
