Disturbed capped off a night of metal that thrilled the audience at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis on April 9, 2025. Currently on tour celebrating the 25-year anniversary of their debut album, “The Sickness,” Disturbed played two strong sets that proved they have evolved through the years while staying true to their roots.

Disturbed's first set consisted of the entire "The Sickness" album, in order. While I knew the major hits, such as "Down with the Sickness" "Stupify," "The Game," and ""Voices," I was pleasantly surprised to discover a couple of songs I didn't even know I liked.

The second set, which was preceded by an intermission, consisted of newer releases, including their brand new tune, "I Will Not Break.”
The set was well paced, with more emphasis on their heavy songs, such as "Immortalized" and "Ten Thousand Fists." Disturbed saved the slower, more thoughtful tune, "The Light," along with their haunting rendition of "The Sound of Silence," for the end of the show. They finished the night, however, with the powerful "Inside the Fire," a true banger from the "Immortalized" album.

I couldn't help comparing this show to the last time I saw Disturbed, which was at Ruoff Music Center in 2023. (Link to photos and review is here: https://www.audiophileoholic.com/post/disturbed-at-ruoff-music-center-on-august-2-2023 ) The lineup was the same: David Draiman on lead vocals, Dan Donegan on guitar, Mike Wengren on drums, and John Moyer on bass. The performance was great, but the vibe was a little different. The show at Gainbridge seemed less raw, and a bit less emotional. The pyrotechnics were definitely toned down - probably because we were in an indoor arena, and possibly because of the debacle at United Center in Chicago. Nevertheless, I, along with all the other the adoring fans at Gainbridge, were united in the glory and power of everything that Disturbed represents: pain, anger, redemption, and metal. It was a good night, indeed, for we Disturbed Ones.

Disturbed will continue touring in the US through mid-May, 2025 before heading overseas for a European and U.K. tour. For mor information, click here:
