As the second of five acts on The Stadium Tour, expectations ran high for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in Indianapolis on August 16, 2022. The band did not disappoint, wowing the crowd with a performance that showcased the band’s best tunes and left the audience cheering wildly. Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer Joan Jett looked and sounded fantastic during the 12-song set that included songs and stories from the band’s very beginnings to the recently released acoustic version of “(I’m Gonna) Run Away.”
Of course, the biggest hits drew the biggest responses, and I’m pretty sure everyone in the stadium jumped to their feet when the first chord of “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” blasted out. The set ended with a high-energy rendition of “Bad Reputation,” proving that Joan Jett and her bandmates are still badasses of the highest order.
