"Magic Summer" was the perfect description for New Kids on the Block's 2024 tour. Fans dressed in neon, glow sticks lighting up the night sky, and a boy band that is back and better than ever, all created the perfect atmosphere for a fun show. Playing everything from the beginning of their career to their newest album, New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) put on one fantastic concert.

NKOTB's set started out with all the bright colors and of course, their trademark sparkly outfits as well. Each member was introduced one by one as they came down the staircase. I think you could probably hear the women screaming from miles outside the venue when they arrived at the front of the stage.

I was very impressed by New Kids on the Block's choreography and their ability to perform with the humidity and heat that was brought by the end of the summer season.

One part that really stood out to me was the band's interactions with the crowd. Not only did NKOTB have VIP members on stage with them for the first couple songs, but throughout the set they also brought up fans to rap, to wish them happy birthday, to dance with them, and just all around interacted with the crowd throughout the entire show. They even had a B stage set up near the lawn so that everyone had an equal chance to see the artists up close. Founding member Donnie Wahlberg even ended up running through the crowd and singing with fans for over 10 minutes!

On top of their performances, the stage design and confetti were mind blowing! I have never seen a show with 7 different types of confetti going off throughout their entire set. The set at Ruoff Music Center was actually the very last show of the tour, and they made sure to bring out everyone to thank them and even thanked their entire team that makes the shows happen every night. I was beyond impressed with the whole show and I can’t wait to see what they do next.
