Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press is an immensely popular band around Indianapolis. The four-piece from Chicago packs them in whenever and wherever they play, which is usually 2-3 times a year at The Hi-Fi Annex and The Vogue Indy. They also sell out The Bluebird in nearby Bloomington, Indiana.

If you've never been to a Rod Tuffcurls show, you are missing a PARTY. They play hits from all genres of music, and everyone sings along. It's been like this at every Rod Tuffcurls concert we've been to, and the one at the Hi-Fi Annex on July 13, 2024 was no exception. It was a beautiful summer night and people came out in droves to see this fabulous foursome play their favorite tunes.

What's really awesome about a Rod Tuffcurls show is how much fun the band has. There are always huge smiles, goofy dance moves and lots of interaction with the fans, many of whom are hard-core Tuffcurls fans.

Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press are also great musicians. It's not easy to sound good covering a huge variety of songs, but they pull it off every single time. They also often perform one or two original songs. My favorite is Sh** to Do. It's for adult audiences only, so they hadn't been able to perform it for awhile. Laura and I (and the rest of the crowd) were really happy they were able to play it for us Saturday. It's a ridiculous song and we love it!

Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press will be back at the Hi-Fi Annex on September 7 for a special Tuff Taylor show. They'll also be back at The Vogue and The Bluebird later this year. For more info, click here:
